This Racing Seat Base Template is designed to help you ditch the lazy-boy factory seats and bolt in a proper Kirkey-style aluminum racing seat—or any side-mount seat that doesn’t exactly “plug and play” into the Cruze chassis.

Built off the exact measurements of my own 525 WHP Chevrolet Cruze, this seat base template is laser-cut ready and includes tabs for properly mounting a 5-point harness setup—because when the factory seat goes, so does the factory seatbelt. This base gives you a solid foundation for serious driving.

It’s track-tested, street-beaten, and built to solve a real problem: most racing seats and harnesses don’t fit without some serious fabrication. Now you don’t have to guess or start from scratch.

• Designed for the Chevy Cruze platform (Gen 1), with optional fitment for the Sonic (slight mod may be required)

When I pulled the factory seat out of my Cruze for the build, nothing fit. No bolt-ins. No shortcuts. Just fabrication. This template is the same layout I used to run a lightweight race seat and secure a 5-point harness in my 525 WHP daily/track car. Now you can skip the headache and go straight to race-ready.
